GCSSS is actively associated with numerous professional organizations concerned with ensuring legal, regulatory and procedural compliance with security industry standards and best practices, as well and local, state, and federal laws. These affiliations include:
♦ American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS). ASIS is the world’s largest accredited security board certification organization dedicated to overseeing the development and publishing of security guidelines and standards for the security industry.
♦ Infragard. We are active members of Infragard. Infragard is an FBI led coalition of federal, state, and local authorities and select private sector personnel and organizations dedicated to the protection of critical infrastructure components in the United States.
♦ The International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO). We are corporate members of IFPO. IFPO is dedicated to providing meaningful and effective security certification training for security guards and protection officers that exceeds industry standards.
♦ Overseas Security Advisory Committee (OSAC). OSAC promotes security cooperation between American private sector interests worldwide and the U.S. Department of State. OSAC also develops and promotes standards and best practices in the international security industry.
♦ Security Executive Council (SEC). The SEC is a research and advisory firm for security leaders that offers experience-based solutions, program decision assurance and targeted information to ensure security initiatives are on target and cost effective. The SEC has experience in all realms of the security function, including physical, information, and compliance, as well as all industries and sectors.
